A new company, not new to the work
Trust Solar New Zealand is a new business. The people in it are not new to solar - between them they have been selling, designing and installing systems for years, and this is the company they wanted to build with that experience.
What we do is straightforward: we supply and install solar systems, battery storage and EV charging, and we do the electrical work that goes with them - including taking an existing gas set-up off the property and replacing it with electric hot water and cooking, wired and certified by us. Grid-tied, hybrid, or fully off-grid - the system type follows from what the property needs, not from what we would prefer to sell.

What we are not
We are in the business of supplying and installing quality, fit-for-purpose solar equipment. We are not a power retailer. We do not take a cut of what you export to the grid, and we do not arrange your finance or earn anything from it.
And you own your equipment. Whether you are adding to your mortgage with a sustainable home loan top-up or paying outright, the system is yours from day one. We do not tie anyone into a thirty-year power deal or a lease-to-own arrangement that sees the customer just outlasting the hardware.
The consultation is a conversation, not a sales call
Part of the process involves us spending some time to get to know you and the goals you are looking to achieve with the move to solar. Not everybody just wants to save some money on their power bill. We sit down and look at the bigger picture, discuss your wants and needs, and present a solution that fits your budget and lifestyle requirements.

We are based in Auckland and work across New Zealand - suburban homes, lifestyle blocks and rural properties, new builds and renovations, sheds and sleepouts, and businesses with daytime power use.
Rural and lifestyle properties are worth a particular mention. They often have the strongest solar potential of anywhere we go: large roof areas, real daytime demand from pumps, sheds, refrigeration and workshops, and in some cases a grid connection quote that makes going off-grid the cheaper decision rather than the idealistic one.
