Get in touchHow we work out which one is actually right
The package is a starting point. What decides your real system size is not the number of bedrooms - it is how much power you use, and when you use it.
What we look at during the assessment
- Your recent power bills, and how much of your usage falls in daylight hours
- Roof space, pitch and orientation - north-facing produces the most annual energy in New Zealand, but east and west work well for a household busy in the morning or evening
- Shading from trees, chimneys, neighbouring buildings or hills
- Roof condition and type, and whether the mounting system suits it
- Your switchboard, and whether it needs work before anything is connected
- Whether an EV, a heat pump, electric hot water or a pool pump is in the picture - now or in a few years
If the house roof is shaded, too small or facing the wrong way, panels can often go on a shed, garage, barn or a ground-mounted frame instead.

Our Other Solutions
Grid-tied, hybrid or fully off-grid - and, if you want it, the gas taken off the property and the electrical work done while we are there. Which combination suits you depends on how much power you use during the day, whether you want the lights to stay on when the network goes down, and what you want the system to do in ten years. That is what the free assessment is for.

Helpful to have on hand: a recent power bill, roughly how many people live in the house, and whether you have or are considering an EV. If you do not have those to hand, that is fine - the assessment is how we work it out.
